Brandy from Springfield ,
IL
Where did you grow up?
Everywhere! Born in Cali …eventually ended up in Illinois .
How was it growing up there, would
you say that it influenced you?
Tough Childhood, Tough
upbringing…you realize you are the only person who can influence you!
When did you start getting
tattoos?
Senior in High School, me and two
other girls got the same one.
How would you describe your
style?
I worked at a girlie store and I
was the alternative one, I work at a skate store and I’m the ghetto country
one…………I am me!
Do you consider tattoos as a
serious art form?
Definitely, I see the body as a
temple…………some are just prettier to look at!
What has been your inspiration for
getting them?
90 percent of my ink means
something….even down to the placement.
What’s your favorite piece?
I don’t have one…they all
symbolize something different and it makes them each special.
Do you catch people starring at
you because of your ink?
Definitely, I have a butterfly in
the middle of my chest…think it annoys me more when people just stare...I’d rather
them approach me, which I also get a lot of. Males and females…young and old!
In your opinion, do your tattoos
change your mood often?
Umm no, when I’m down…having a bad
day, I want work done….
What’s your most significant
tattoo and why?
They all mean something, the
phoenix on my side means a new beginning…rising from the ashes…just got a
divorce...Trying to rebuild who I am. I also have “brick by brick” down my
arm…it represents trying to break down my wall …one brick at a time.
What’s your next tattoo?
A geisha on my other side! Soon!
What advice would you give to
someone wanting to get their first tattoo?
Don’t get something you will
regret….because you will grow up…you will have a family. Make your ink
represent who you are, not what was cool.
Will you be getting anymore? Umm…. I have a few more ideas
but….then again never know!
Do you have a favorite quote?
If you reach for the moon and
don’t make it, at least you’ll be among the stars!
Anything else you would like to
add?
Ummm tat’d people are sexy as hell! :)
