Ilaria
Pozzi from Italy
Where did you
grow up?
I grew up in
Italy, in a little town in front of the sea.
How was it
growing up there, would you say that it influenced you?
I think it made
me just a little more free.
When did you
start getting tattoos?
When I was 14.
Do you consider
tattoos as a serious art form?
Of course, tattoos
are a very ancient and very important art form.
How do you see
the tattoo culture right now?
It's growing so
fast and there are always more people are getting tattooed.
What has been
your inspiration for getting them?
I just remember
when I was a teenager looking at the tattoo magazines and thinking about which
one I would like to get done. I’ve worked and
met a lot of great artists and people I love, which have inspired me and have inked
my skin.
-Stefano Prestileo from Pinker, Genoa.
-Mallo and Koke from La Bottega
Dei Tatuaggi, Rome.
-Carlo Fastcolors.
-Satoru Koizumi and Yoichi from Oneshoot Okinawa, Japan.
-Krooked Ken and Keelhauled Mike from Blackanchor,
Denton, MD USA.
-Will Roth and Ronnie Lanahan from Nameless, MD USA.
-Piero Folgori aka Walle from Araba Fenice, Rome.
-Roberto Giavazzi aka Grillo....and someone else.
What’s your
favorite piece?
I don't have a
favorite piece, I just love some more then others. Everyone has a story good or
bad, I really can't tell you just one.
Do you catch
people staring at you because of your ink?
Sometimes, yes.
In your opinion,
do your tattoos change your mood often?
They make me
happy.
What’s your next
tattoo?
A duck on my
left foot.
What advice
would you give to someone wanting to get their first tattoo?
Don't be afraid.
What is one
thing that life has taught you?
Have fun, eat
good, sleep well.
Do you have a
favorite quote?
If
you have nothing, you don't have nothing to lose.Photographers Credit:
