Lucy
Logan from Wiltshire, England UK.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Dumfries, Scotland.
How was it growing up there, would you say that it influenced you?
When did you start getting tattoos?
I started getting tattoos when I was 16, I wanted tattoos so bad when I was 14 that I used to carve band names into my leg so that it would look like I had a tattoo.
How would you describe your style?
I would say slightly tomboy and in your face.
Do you consider tattoos as a serious art form?
I don't take tattoos too seriously, I admire the dedication and the talent of some artists, it is an art form but I’m very laid back.
How do you see the tattoo culture right now?
I think its spreading like crazy, some great models and artists but everyone seems to be a tattoo artist now, it’s crazy.
What has been your inspiration for getting them?
My inspiration are the people I consider to be inspirational, things I grew up with, bands who's songs shaped me, films that fascinated me.
What’s your favorite piece?
My back piece!
Do you catch people starring at you because of your ink?
All the time and every day! As they pass you can hear them talking about you.
In your opinion, do your tattoos change your mood often?
Only in public when you’re looked at as a freak it can spark my temper.
What’s your most significant tattoo and why?
When I was at Download festival I got to meet Vinnie Paul (drummer from Pantera) and I showed him my Dimebag tattoo and he signed my arm. All weekend I kept that signature intact until I got home to have it tattooed on, it was an incredible experience that I will never forget!
What advice would you give to someone wanting to get their first tattoo?
Do it! Live a little.
Will you be getting anymore?
Oh yes! I don't think I will ever stop.
What’s your biggest inspiration, what keeps you going?
Just to make something of myself while I’m here.
What is one thing that life has taught you?
You can only really depend on yourself, trust no one but those closest to you.
Do you have a favorite quote?
I’d rather regret the things I’ve done than the things I haven't done.
