Where were you born and where
are you from?
Hi, I'm from
Bulgaria. I was born in Pazardjik city, Bulgaria.
How did you get introduced to
the tattoo culture?
That happened
many years ago, when I was still young. Tattooing and music was going against the communist system
in Bulgaria. We just wanted to be free.
When did you get started?
I have been
tattooing for 18 years now.
Do you remember the first
tattoo that you did?
Yes of course,
it was a small realistic scorpion, which I did for a friend of mine.
How would you describe your
style of tattooing?
I cannot say
that it is my style, but it’s my way of interpreting art in tattooing, it’s
more psycho real.
What were you doing before
you got into the tattoo business, and what made you change?
I started when
I was still in high school. I've never done anything else.
What influences your artwork?
I am a fan of
renaissance paintings and psycho
movies.
What would you say is the
best part about tattooing?
We are artists that
don’t need a gallery for our art to be exposed. Everyone can see my work in the
street; we’ve got a living canvas everywhere. This is the best part about
tattooing.
What advice would you give to
someone looking to get their first tattoo?
I think that the
most important thing is to get a good piece of art and not to look for cheap
ink.
Do you see yourself doing
anything other than tattooing?
Yes why not,
maybe do graffiti or play the guitar.
What’s your biggest
inspiration, what keeps you going?
Everyone learns
something new about themselves every day; we try to get better and better.
What is one thing that life
has taught you?
Just to go step by
step and enjoy the little things.
Where do you see the tattoo
culture 10 years from now?
I think we will
have very cool and interesting art. The new tattooers are coming with really
good ideas.
Anything else you would like
to add?
I hope that the
people like my art.
